Notes: Here we come to the last song I'll post in 2022. It has been a year of changes for me -- very positive changes. Still, when the year ticks over to the next one, there is a sense that the passage of time underscores how little of it we have left. The changes we experience can intensify the sense of time slipping away. Things staying the same would foster a false impression of an infinite now, and an infinite now would suggest a limitless future. None of that is real. Staying the same is like hiding in the past. Time will catch up anyway. Let the change come.
