Notes: The other day, Rebecca and I took in a sunset over the East River. It was lovely and simple, and I became overcome. We know our time in New York is dwindling. As I contemplate that change, my mind wanders nearly a decade through the town—the way it was when I got here, the way I was, the ways it has changed, and the ways I have changed too. I'm getting sentimental about it. That's a good thing. It sometimes feels like an unknowable place, yet I feel that I know it well.
lyrics
Feeling part of it takes a while
Take in the river
Crack a smile
All of the places you think you could be from
Feel it turn over
Filled up pages
Float down the river
Ages and ages
All of the places you think you could be from
