This song is written straight from the id. I really have very little idea of what’s going on here. I didn’t have the luxury of writing something thoughtful this week, but I had just enough time to open up the top of my head and shake around until something fell out. I think a big part of Mount Everest (particularly lately) is writing when I otherwise wouldn’t or shouldn’t be, so songs like this one are bound to crop up every now and then. If I had to take a guess, I’d say I’m probably talking about wanting to do something I shouldn’t do, or trying to do something I don’t want to do. Tough to say. What I do know is that I’ve written sounds, and melody, and words, and god willing I’ll do it again next week. I love you guys who stick around even when I’m obviously consumed with other things. It won’t last forever.
lyrics
I'd be so fast
A silhouette
Just passing by
I'd lose a radiant future
Up into the sky
It ain't so easy
To do the right thing
To do what must be done
If it was simple
Then everyone would
Luck to everyone
So sweet
This rest in motion
Circling on the train
Packed in there
Sweat and carbon
Seeking some refrain
It ain't so simple
To do waht needs doin'
To do what must be done
If it was easy
Then everyone would
Luck to everyone
