about

Notes: I wrote this song last week in anticipation of a visit from my older brother and his wonderful family. He lives in California with his wife and two boys, and we don't see each other a lot. Time with the people who matter most is what counts in life, and this song is a rumination on that notion. Given the hectic nature of the holidays, I haven't had a lot of time to work on music lately, so I wanted to take care to at least flesh this out with some harmonies. It feels like a good start to the new year, and I'm looking forward to finding out how all the big life changes ahead will evolve my creative process. Take care, appreciate the people in your life, and have a happy New Year!

lyrics

Brothers, friends
Saviors
Come by some time

Look at the clock
Out the window
The hour has nearly arrived

Life is funny
Time's a drag
The pull is all that we have

Look at the clock
Out the window
The hour has nearly arrived
