Notes: Winter came unambiguously to my neck of the woods during the first week of December. It felt appropriate and earned. At the same time, it also felt like a starker demarcation line between the seasons than I have come to expect in this era of upturned climate. A pretty snow cast the land in a quiet buffer. I could hear myself thinking. I could feel myself feeling. Snow slows us down, so I slowed the music down. Even as our first snow has all but melted in today's December rain, I know there is no going back now.
