Notes: This is a song about photos. It's about the moments they capture and the ways we access and linger in those moments. It's also about the lives and characters captured unwittingly in photos, the people who we will never know that populate the backgrounds of our treasured memories, and the treasured memories where we ourselves populate the background. This is a simple song and it's not deeply personal, but it really makes me feel something. I think it's beautiful that we're connected to each other through photos, both the people we intend to capture and the ones who just happen to be there. We become the texture of each other's lives in our most cherished and mundane moments alike. What an honor that is.
