Notes: Autumn is deep in Maine right now, and the season of my life is changing too. I find myself walking around my house, placing my hand on the walls, and feeling their rootedness. I look at our belongings, comfortable in this nook or that one. Despite all the nesting we have left to do, I see us reflected in our home through these bits of our past. I'm grateful for my accumulated years, and to the people I had to be in order to become the person I am. I think of who I am now, and who I yet still need to become in order to do right by everyone I love. I watch the season change out my window, and it looks good.
lyrics
I'm amazed that I
Can walk around and feel
These walls are good and sturdy
And all around
The little bits of us
That we agree are worthy
Each of my ages were aligned
To this somehow
Whoever I have been give way
To this way now
And I thank you
I am amazed
The change is everywhere
I watch it from my window
And we'll change like
The colors of the fall
When change is for the better
Each of my ages were aligned
To this somehow
Whoever I have been give way
To this way now
And I thank you
