I enjoyed spending much of the long weekend quite focused on songwriting, and uniquely engaged with what I was working on. I have to admit that the song I am presenting here today is not the song that I was focused on. That song is a special one that won't be ready for several weeks. Today, my weekly recording practice had to run on the leftover fumes that remained. Still, I think I pulled a pleasant little number out of my pocket. It's not one that I am particularly excited by, but it has a few turns that I genuinely enjoy, and I'm glad I wrote it. They can't all be my favorite, but this one gets by just fine.
