Notes: I wrote this song midway through last week, and I'm reflecting on it from an airport bar on the way home from a whirlwind trip to hang out with my brother and play Star Wars at Disneyland. It's a funny contrast, because the song is an earnest reflection on finally feeling grown up, but I've just spent a long weekend communing with my inner child in a meaningful way. The contrast works for me. For better or worse, I've reached maturity on my own terms. Yes, I own a Light Saber. It seems like very soon I will probably own a house too. I can be more than one thing.
