Notes: I'm learning that spring takes its time making its way to Maine. While the days have grown quite a bit longer, there is still snow in the yard as we greet the first week of April. The hallmarks of the change are happening in an order to which I'm not yet unaccustomed, but it doesn't therefore follow that the change isn't coming. I'm reminded of my impatience as we bided our time until we could make our move from New York last year. I had one foot in the future, and I wasn't always attentive to the moment. I feel that way again, but now I'm impatient to achieve new goals, and for new changes to come. There's a lesson here that I'm still not learning.
lyrics
Waiting on the light to change
Funny how the hour hangs
Funny how the day gets long
Guess the hour and get it wrong
Just wait for it
Waiting on the weeks to move
Much to gain and much to prove
Spinning wheels to pass the time
Best not spin through all of mine
Just wait for it
Waiting on my life to change
It's good I like it still this way
Waking in the light of spring
All we've got is what we bring
