Notes: This week's song is a sketch composed of layers, and it is all about encouraging the guitar to define and redefine space within the composition. Elements enter, repeat and and exit. I like the words, and I don't mean to devalue them when I say that they are more or less incidental within this track. I wanted something airy and simple to float above the more layered instrumental, and they achieve that end. I just got back from the beach, and I think there is perhaps something here that is evocative of the waves rolling in. I hope that I have created something peaceful.
