Notes: Year after year, It never ceases to amaze me that time is an experience that is profoundly subject to momentum. The longer you observe it, the faster it goes. I watched a decade evaporate after I arrived in New York. I came to Maine in hopes of slowing it down, but I'm sure another decade will be in my rearview before I have time to notice. I'm going on vacation this week, on a trip that I have hoped could be an opportunity to take a beat. I'm trying not to look past it, but I know that on the other side, I'm already looking for the next moment to slow down. Please wish me luck as I attempt in earnest to catch my breath.
lyrics
I can't explain it
I'm humbled by the rate of time
'Cause every day feels like
It's just passing me by
And nothing slows it down
Now what would that feel like?
Tell me what would that feel like?
Now everyone's restless
We're all running in circles
And what am I working for?
Am I working for a miracle?
And nothing slows it down
Now what would that feel like?
Tell me what would that feel like?
