about

As people, we live in a human world. That's the world we make, the one we author together, the place where the rules and conditions are set by human ambition, intention, design, negligence, and folly. It's both good and bad on any given day. The bad things often feel really huge. They can be hard to miss. It can sometimes be a very overwhelming place to live.

We also live in another world, a natural one, a world that spun out of an endless random cosmos, a world that will likely outlast us, a place where the human world will one day become little more than a whisper on the wind. That's overwhelming in its own way. The human world is fleeting. Where does that leave us?

It leaves us in the here and now, with little choice but to do the best we can. Good luck out there.

lyrics

Oh human world
Play our hearts on your strings

I've been around
Long enough to see some things

To live through astounding times such as these
It can weigh you down
It can weigh you down some days

Oh human beings
Look around where you stand

Kneel
Feel the Earth
Beneath the palm of your hand

To live through astounding times such as these
It can weigh you down
It can weigh you down some days
