Notes: This song is for a new friend I haven't met. His name is Felix, and he was born at the very end of summer to two dear friends. I wonder how the first season we encounter shapes us. For Felix, he will return to the year's great transitional phase, the autumn, as his original context. The world will spin around, and each time it gets to the very best time of year, he will enter into the echo of his earliest months. His eyes first beheld the world as it metamorphosed, and little by little he will transform as well. Felix, I hope to know you as you grow and change. I wrote this song as both a way to welcome you, and as a prayer for your many happy returns to the autumn, which is forever yours.
