Notes: Sometimes, especially in the summer when the weather is hot and my neighborhood becomes an endless amateur fireworks bonanza at night, I wish time would move a lot faster. I wish the season would change over to give me the comparative cool and quiet of the autumn. Then, of course, the season changes faster than I want it to. Life escalates at an intimidating pace, and the change comes too quickly. When I'm urging the change to come, I need to remind myself that as the days slip behind me, I can never have them back again. I need to urge myself to slow down.
lyrics
God the summer keeps me up all night
Explosions crack the drywall
I'm boiling alive
Think of calming situations
Afloat upon a river
Or drifting out at sea
Watch pages turn faster
Season by season
All of the time
The changes keep me up all night
I try to keep up with them
It's the only thing to do
Watch pages turn faster
Season by season
All of the time
