Notes: When I was writing this, I attempted to channel the tranquility that I achieved during a lovely summer evening sitting out in the park with Rebecca. The park is a refuge, not just from the noise and stimulation of the environment beyond its borders, but from the cacophony of my mind. I was trying to convey the sensation of sitting out in the open, letting the noise recede, watching the night fall, seeing the lightning bugs flicker over the field, hearing distant music and laughter, and focusing on one particular person.
