Notes: I'm continuing the subject trend of my last couple of songs, and meditating on time, changes, and expectations. I'm reflecting on growing up. I think one important perspective shift that I have experienced has been moving from the expectation that change is something that happens to you, to an understanding that it's a thing you actively do. Furthermore, when you actively engage in change, you have both agency and responsibility toward the outcome. The notion is pretty big, so I tried to put it in a little song so I could wrap my head around it.

But I am the source
I am older now
If not wiser than
I had hoped to be back when
