Notes: I'm easing into the new year with an easy little mountain folk tune. I've been up in some mountains lately, so this felt like just the thing. The guitar part moves around and feels as old as the land. The lyrics speak to the change in the calendar, the change in the wind, the change we hope to see around a within us, and the steadiness with which we should hold to the folks we love. Those we love are, of course, all in life that truly matters.
