Notes: The picture that accompanies this track is ridiculous. I took it during a recent visit to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, a massive themed restaurant near Times Square which happens to be home to a massive two story reproduction of the Statue of Liberty from the chest up. While I had a surprisingly fun visit to this stupid place, I never imagined I would ever set foot in one of these tired tourist traps. At 3:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, all of the patrons appeared to be exhausted travelers suffering layovers at the nearby Port Authority Bus Terminal. That's probably exactly what they were. It crossed my mind that I might trade places with some of them, depending on where they might be headed. I love New York, but my mind floats elsewhere. Unlike the Statue of Liberty and Margaritaville, I doubt I'm destined to be a fixture in this town for decades to come.
lyrics
I am a wanderer
I got things I don't say
I got a mind for outrageous thoughts
I think I been floating away
For a long time
I think I been floating away
I was there for the start of something
I made my peace with all kinds of change
I was a rock in a surging ocean
A steady voice in the strange
For a long time
I think I been floating away
For a long time
I think I been floating away
