This song comes from the anonymity and isolation that has become commonplace for many people since the pandemic started. Between working from home, and walking around with my face covered for 20 months, being nobody and nowhere is a bigger part of my life than it is has ever been. These conditions offer benefits and drawbacks. While it is easy to become lonesome in the new world, it's also liberating to command the circumstances of how and when I am perceived by others at all. It doesn't get less strange, does it?
