I got really sucked into this song while I was making it up. I found myself enamored with the marriage of the nylon string guitar, and the telecaster dripping with a classic tremolo effect. Something about this one just makes me feel warm inside. It's a song about getting over the tough stuff and leaving the past in the past. I think it's pretty relatable, so I hope that when you listen you can reflect on something that doesn't need to own you anymore, whether that be an old wound, a more recent fear, or something all your own that I couldn't possibly predict. Thanks for listening, and be well.
lyrics
The features of my design
Haven't changed in a little while
And that's fine
My broken parts come to light
You can see them when the angle is just right
But the cracks don't mean much to me
So let them be lost
Let them be lost
Lost to time
Let it be lost
Lost to time
What's so hard about wrong and right?
Who's concerned about truth or lies?
That's fine
Will I know if I'm up for this?
And what portent of my demise did I miss?
But see the fear don't mean anything
So let it be lost
Let it be lost
Lost to time
Let it be lost
Lost to time
Let it be lost
Lost to time
The tide we run from
Let it be lost
Lost to time
Let it be lost
Lost to time
Let it be lost
Lost to time
