I spent last week exploring Colorado with Rebecca, and holy smokes what a place. I had been there before, but I had never gotten so immersed in it. This is a song about the roads and mountains we explored, and it's a song about reconnecting. I think It will be some time before I come down from my Rocky Mountain high, so I guess John Denver was onto something. The whole time I was there, I imagined all the songs the landscape could inspire. I'll be sure to bring my guitar along next time.
lyrics
Winding road
Faded lines
All the way we go
Peering through this
Facing me
The light of you
Goodness I don't know
Half the answers
Half the questions
The evening light don't wait 'til we get home
Walk with me
Above the line
Following the ghost
We are protected
Join the rise
Become the glacier
Goodness I don't know
Half the answers
Half the questions
The evening light don't wait 'til we get home
