The other night I made up this guitar line and then walked into the night playing it. I walked down the wooded road where my parents live, flanked by tall trees which reflected my melody back to me, along with creaks and groans and the rustling of leaves. The only light was the moon. It was a day past full, so it was bright enough to make my way. It was such a simple pleasure to walk alone under the moon's great eye, and to turn my music into just one more sound of the night.
lyrics
Sometimes I walk to pass the time
Sometimes I'm headed somewhere
Some nights the moon is bright enough
To shine a light on nowhere
Sometimes I walk to pass the time
Sometimes I look for something
Sometimes my feet are restless
Sometimes I move to get away
Sometimes my feet are planted
Some nights the forest fills with stars
Sometimes it looks enchanted
Sometimes I walk to pass the time
Sometimes I look for something
Sometimes my feet are restless
