Notes: Last week as I rounded the bases of my tenth year of this songwriting and recording odyssey, I shared with you that the 5th anniversary of this project had been commemorated by my dearest friends with a lovingly produced album of covers of my songs. Unbeknownst to me at the time, they had already done it again! My friends and family turned what I thought would be a simple zoom toast into a beautiful emotional group hug and listening party. I'm still high on the event, and my every waking hour is marked by sincere gratitude, love, and awe to be part of such a creative, nurturing, and supportive community. I wrote this little song to say thank you. I've also posted a link to the new cover album in my Linktree (linktr.ee/mounteverestmusic), because I want everyone to hear what talented, amazing human beings my friends are. Enjoy!

Of course the rain can find me
Of course I'm feeling fine
To cleanse the earth around me
The rain can take its time

I wish that I could show you
How grateful I've become

Oh the lonesome valley
Is lonesome nevermore
Oh the path find it
Stretches from my door

I wish that I could tell you
How grateful I've become
I feel the warmth around me
How grateful I've bcome
