Hey gang! All of my final projects are due at midnight, but don’t think I forgot about you! But please pardon me if I keep this brief as I still have a bit to do. I came up with this simple ukelele tune about being weary, because I am weary. To counter that though, the song gets an optimistic turn by the end because life has been proving to me recently how even in weary times, truly beautiful things can happen.
I played and sang it all at once, rather than doing overdubs, which I’ve only ever done a couple of times on this site. It has all the authenticity of my off notes and rhythmic screw-ups, of which I usually try to spare you. I like it that way
lyrics
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
Will Bleach in the sun
My bones My bones
Well goodness knows
They’ll rest when they’re done
My bones My bones
Picked by the crows
Could be anyone
And goodness knows
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
Could sink in the sea
But goodness knows
These aching bones
They got to believe
These bones the bones
You call them home
They jump to their feet
‘Cause goodness knows
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
My bones My bones
